Patrick Norguet (1969- ) has embraced disciplines as varied as product design, fashion and architecture. The illustrious Parisian designer balances self-taught skills what he learned from his studies at L'Ecole Superieure de Design. In 2000, he founded his design firm,which ranges from industrial product design to architectural designs. A liberation of French design, he has developed an eclectic approach, coming up with objects characterised by an ongoing drive for balance and rationality.
The Apollo has become a modern classic. The circular seat which does not quite meet at the back, reflects the zen symbol of hands in prayer and exudes calm and contemplation.
