Arper is an Italian company which was founded in the late eighties to create products that amalgamate functionality and aesthetics with safety, technology, ergonomics and comfort. They produce innovative and responsive products for the home and public spaces. Jean-Marie Massaud (1966- ) graduated from the ENSCI in 1990 and founded Studio Massaud in 2000. His design philosophy questions the existing, in order to propose answers to contemporary problems. Characterised by an understanding of the surrounding world, Massaud's holistic approach captures the zeitgeist in an interesting way. Subsequently, he has been named Designer of the Year several times.
