5 Coffee Tables for this Christmas
London: Christmas is an occasion to share our blessings and fill our hearts with joy. It also reconnects us with that essential British tradition - hot beverages. What better place to share a hot cup of coffee, tea, or a glass of mulled wine with family and friends than in our living room. To make this festive season a richer experience for you, The Longest Stay brings you five iconic coffee table designs that will make the Victorians jealous.
For a decade now, the magic of Hogwarts School of Wizardry is a part of our Christmas celebrations. How wonderful would it be if our living room furniture was handcrafted directly by one of the artists associated with the magic of Harry Potter? This breathtakingly detailed coffee table is an artistic expression of Craig Narramore, whose intricate props were similar to the wizardry genius of professor Albus Dumbledore. This unique table is constructed from a single piece of solid elm wood with incredible detailing. The top is delicately encased in a striking lime green 'lava' coating that creates a vibrant and contemporary design. The table is designed by Narramore who has a history of integrating the beautiful rare forms that nature has provided in his designs. He uses metal elements, glass, reclaimed items, unusual and vintage objects to create one-off pieces. His career began in the early 90s, where he worked on the James Bond and Harry Potter blockbusters, as well as Christopher Nolan's Batman and George Lucas's Starwars. After many years of designing, creating and crafting for others, Craig has finally found time to showcase his own dynamic collection of functional artworks.

Founded in 2012, Rue Monsieur Paris is a French high-end furniture company looking for the new art of fine living in which elegance and simplicity of forms predominate. In just a short period of time, they’ve become a voice in furniture that surprises and delights. It may be due to the art direction entrusted to Marjan Denkov, a Paris Fine Arts Academy graduate who is not afraid to explore different artistic languages. So far, they have brought to us three very distinct collections: Turnadot, Moonlight and Rive Gauche. One, mostly wood and sexy curves, the other characterized by fine marble marquetry and the latter with a you?can’t-help-but-stare-in-awe POP allure.
