6 Things We Loved About 2018
New year, new you, right? We think you’re fab always, however, the new year does bring a sense of renewal and the best way to enjoy it is by taking stock of the year before. Here are some of our highlights…
- Our first TLS Thanksgiving Dinner
This past November we went all in on this very American tradition, all about the enjoyment of food in community and giving thanks for our blessings. We were honoured to have had a sold out event raising an incredible £15,000 for Beast Cancer charity The Haven. Guests enjoyed our live auction, our unique raffle, a 3 course dinner, live music, laughter and wine, and we can’t wait to do it again this year.
2. The Joy of Japanese
On a giving note, this past year we donated a styling session to a charity event and we had the joy of creating a look that encapsulated Japanese vibes, a dash of colour and modular furniture. Our client was thrilled with the result and so were we. We love the hexagon shelf units as it can either be used in a vertical position for storage or, simply flip them to create a coffee table. Although ikat is not strictly Japanese we love the geometric addition to the room, as well as, the hyper saturated colours which make this TLS look complete.

3. The Shows Must Go On
It’s always a pleasure to attend design shows in London and abroad, it’s not only a great way to get inspired for the year ahead but also an opportunity to give faces to brands, and humanise the online world in which we live and thrive in. 100% Design and Design Junction are always at the forefront of our minds, one’s a classic and the other is always creating unique spaces that make the city of London come to life. In addition, we’re still dreaming of Lambart & Browne’s bar at Decorex and taking the teachings on trends from the Focus/18 Style Library and applying them to our buying plans for this year.

4. NEW WEBSITE!
We’ve been working non stop to bring you a revamped TLS website in 2019 and we’re just adding the final touches. One major upgrade is the SPOTLIGHT. A place where you’ll be able to find all the amazing content you love, plus videos and more in one place. You’ll be able to search back through our archive, shop from our features directly on our website, and we’ve got more brands and products added as we speak! Here’s a sneak peak just for you…
5. NEW BRANDS!
We’re excited to be bringing you new brands and products for 2019, and we’re set to make an important change in our roaster. Not only are we updating our entire collection, but we’re also adding the likes of Italian brand Baxter (Elle Deco winner), the hand crafted luxury if Pitsilkas and the maximalist art deco style of Anna Hayman - to name a few.
