Bloggers
Our first ever bloggers’ event took place last Tuesday in the ever so elegant Colony Club in Mayfair. Surrounded by luxuries, cocktails and all the canapés you could eat we met up with our favourite bloggers and designers to catch-up and to show them what The Longest Stay is all about.
Firstly, we would like to thank all of the bloggers that came along and who made the night a success. Designers and brands that attended from our curated collection included Jake Phipps, Mineheart, Rokos and Hanna Francis. A display of their finest designs were presented in the bar area where they had the chance to show off their products to the blogger community that we had assembled.
MINEHEART
All of the bloggers were immensely impressed by Minehearts’ unique and eccentric designs that were on show. Their collection never ceases to amaze lovers of design with their artistic, modern take on traditional artwork. All was on show from luxurious cushions, rugs, paintings, wallpaper and ornaments.
Inna Semenyuk & Sarah Highfield with Mineheart
Bloggers seemed particularly drawn to their quirky wallpaper collection that can dramatically transform a room by mimicking the appearance of metal, wood and iron. You really have to touch the samples to believe the wallpaper designs aren’t the real thing!
ROKOS
Jim Rokos, designer and founder of ROKOS, carefully set up his display of stunning designs and delved into deep conversation with the bloggers about the scientific nature of his products. Each of his designs stand out as a work of art and have a playful side that delights lovers of design.
Jim with Sophie from My Warehouse Home
It was hard to discover which item bloggers seemed to admire the most because every item became a huge talking point throughout the night. Everyone that had a chance to talk to “charming” Jim left excited about what else he has in the pipeline!
HANNA FRANCIS
Enchanting designs by Hanna Francis were on show, displaying Scandinavian simplicity with English charm. The bloggers enjoyed listening to the fascinating stories behind each of her contemporary and dynamic products, which are made using a combination of traditional techniques.
Hannah and Anne Marie from Motilo
The KAJO Knit Tapered Shade lit up the room with its incredibly beautiful shape and geometric crisscross pattern inspired by Nordic knitting.
Jake Phipps
The ever so charming designer Jake Phipps impressed our guests with his remarkable one-off pieces and designs that are full of character and opulence. Jake’s clients have included Tommy Hilfiger, Philippe Stark, Google and Harvey Nichols to name a few – this certainly sparked many conversations!
Jake and Katie Treggiden from Confessions of a Design Geek
Although the bloggers weren’t able to see it in the flesh because of its sheer size, the Stellar Console left our guests awestruck. The console takes inspiration from the natural attributes of amethyst geodes and it is a limited edition piece of just 25.
Our twitter page was also filled with positive, heartwarming messages throughout the night from all of our bloggers - our event certainly created a social media buzz!
