The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2018: Here

We may be a little later than usual posting this one, but it has been a hectic few weeks here at The  Longest Stay. We’ve had video shoots with some our favourite brands, new website coming-soon-manic-meetings, shows and events to attend and interiors to love. However, like every year, we were there strolling ten magnificent show gardens and sixteen of the smaller gardens. And the gorgeous weather certainly made this year’s show one not to forget.

 

We’ve been seeing the wonderful sculptures of Bull & Stein since Maison Objet 2018 and we LOVE them!

 

This is Aeon. Surrounded by a beautiful garden but what really grabs your attention is the verdigris-bronze sculpture with a start-burst of 256 gilded aluminium spikes at its centre. Colossal!

 

Colour Inspiration

The Chelsea Flower Show is a great source of inspiration for colour, shape and form. When we launch our own TLS collection we have a feeling we’ll be searching for inspiration here…

 

 

We loved the rusted-type structure surrounded with all the organic forms of this garden. It reminded us of our style, unexpected and it definitely makes a statement.

 

Last but not least, this year there were 13 women designers announced across 26 gardens in all at Chelsea - the highest proportion of female show garden designers that they’ve had in recent years. Hurrah to that! Sarah Price was one of them and her romantic Mediterranean inspired haven was awe inspiring.
