Design Feature: Looking Ahead to 2018
We don’t subscribe to a “new year, new you” mantra, but we do believe in the power of reflection. Taking 2018 as an opportunity to set new goals for your personal life, career, health and home, too. Let’s look at some of the trends that are set to shake the world of interiors in the New Year.
Greenery
Partially inspired by the rise of the Jungalow trend, plants are an easy, affordable and straightforward way to decorate your living space. The greenery trend includes live plants, as well as, other creative interpretations like wallpaper, furniture and lighting.

Pink is in the Air
Back in the summer we spoke about millennial pink – a colour that continues to be prevalent in the fashion and interiors arena. However, for 2018 we suggest refreshing the look with berry hues, and layering subtle textures with your soft furnishings.

Black or White
Graphic elements in black and white are always a winning combination. They bring newness and edge to any interior décor, opt for bold unique furniture pieces like the Tectonic Silence cube by French brand Rue Monsieur Paris or the super stylish Camicia cabinet by Moschino Loves Altreforme.

Round About
We’ve seen clean, rectangular and sharp lines take centre stage in modern furniture but we’re seeing a change towards softer, circular forms. Think rounded armchair corners, circular coffee tables, round mirrors and swivelling chairs. In addition, we’re moving towards saturated colours from deep green, to burnt orange to pantone’s 2018 ultra-violet.
