Bat Eye Fairytale Cocktail Cabinet By Marco Sousa

The Fairytale Drinks Cabinet is sophisticated and distinctive paying homage to Oporto, Portugal. The art of forging iron was once a distinguished trade in Oporto, but now designer Marco Sousa relives those days by reflecting the dedication of local craftsmen in slender iron legs, gilded in 24-carat gold. An iron structure that reminds us of a delicate dragonfly, whilst the cabinet itself is enchanting with hand-painted tiles forming a floral design in blue tones. This technique resembles the tiles historically used in Sousa’s hometown of Oporto. Open its door and reveal the inside of the cabinet covered in a blue marine fabric, with a quilted effect, one glass shelf and three smaller drawers at the bottom.
