This fascinating chair was the last product of a collaboration between Dutch designer furniture producers Artifort, and designer Pierre Paulin. Pierre Paulin was a French furniture and interior designer renowned for making chairs using foams and metallic frames with stretch materials. Paulin’s quirky designs have influenced famous designers such as Olivier Mourgue. Olivier Morgue’s designs have gone on to be featured in Stanley Kubrick's classic film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
This quirky and eye-catching bright blue chair has been inspired by the shape of a giant mushroom. The structure is comprised of a steel insert frame that is covered with polyurethane foam. This bold design has been recognized for its originality and has caused a wave of influence on contemporary furniture design. A range of colours are available – Please contact us for more options.
