Gloster first started making furniture over fifty years ago in West Africa for local market consumption. With an ethical conscience, they started using discarded branches and tree stumps that would otherwise have been burnt, to make the smaller components. In 1981, they started exporting furniture all around the world and moved production to Indonesia to have access to teak plantations only available there. Today, Gloster is one of the ultimate outdoor furniture British brands. Designer Povl Eskildsen began gathering furniture design & production knowledge over two decades ago whilst working in his father’s furniture factory. Povl studied and graduated in furniture design from the School of Architecture in Aarhus, Denmark in 1986.
This table combines traditional and modern materials to create a clean, simple look. The table is light, tactile and pleasant to the eye with simple smooth lines that will add a traditional Danish feel to any outdoor space. The tapered teak legs support the white acrylic stone of the table.
