Meet The Maker

Designer Jake Phipps began his career as a cabinetmaker after graduating from John Makepeace’s furniture design school. In 2005, Phipps set up his own design studio in London where he was able to create one-off statement pieces. Each piece Jake creates has a narrative yet functional aesthetic, which is full of character and charm. His clients include Tommy Hilfiger, Harvey Nichols, Selfridge and Google to name a few.

Description

The Stellar mirror takes inspiration from the physical attributes of cut diamonds. The mirrors reflective qualities that radiate out with a ring of 750 individually sized and angled mirrored sections. These sections break down the light and the surrounding environment, delivering it to the eye as one sparkling entity. This optical dispersion means that as the ambience of the mirrors environment changes throughout the day, so too does its colour and lustre, creating an ever changing focal point to a room. Limited edition, 1 of only 25 made.
