Normann Copenhagen was started in 1999 by Jan Andersen and Poul Madsen. They have created a brand that works with a large number of Danish and international designers who each have their own unique perspective when it comes to design. All the designers have their own process whether it is working with glass, clay or digital programs to create their designs. They all share a love for contemporary design and products that challenge conventional thinking. Tatsuo Kuroda graduated from Tama Art University, Japan in 2006. In 2009 he finished a master at Design Academy Eindhoven and has had his own studio since 2010. Kuroda designs with shape, touch and use in mind to create beautiful pieces that will stand the test of time.
The Knot Chair has been inspired by classic 1950s furniture. It uses clean lines and simplicity combined with the dominant jointing points in natural paper cord to create a comfortable seat and a beautiful design.
