Meet The Maker

Normann Copenhagen was started in 1999 by Jan Andersen and Poul Madsen. They have created a brand that works with a large number of Danish and international designers who each have their own unique perspective when it comes to design. All the designers have their own process whether it is working with glass, clay or digital programs to create their designs. They all share a love for contemporary design and products that challenge conventional thinking. Lars Beller Fjetland originally studied Economics before realising he needed to be in a more creative field which lead him to Bergen National Academy of the Arts. Since graduating in 2012, he has been creating pieces that allow the quality of the material to shine and emphasise the function and the aesthetics.
