Anglo-Italian design duo Brendan Young and Vanessa Battaglia first appeared on the international design scene in 2003 with their up-cycled furniture collection at Salone Satellite in Milan. Working initially under the name Studiomold, their early pieces included their 'Love 36' chair that was made using reject Dunlop tennis balls, and the award winning 'Recycled Sound' speakers made from old vinyl records. In 2011, they founded their own design brand Mineheart, which produces a range of interior accessories in England.
This beautiful digital interpretation by artist Himitsuhana is inspired by the paintings of the Italian and Dutch renaissance. 'Rapunzel' depicts an imprisoned young lady gazing longingly at the outside world and was created using the latest in photographic and digital techniques instead of classic oil paints. The image is displayed in an ornate gold frame which is digitally printed onto the canvas to create a stunning effect. Available in 3 different sizes.
