Megan Revell studied photography at Bishopsgate but says she is largely self-taught photographer. Captivated by the colour and texture of the urban landscape, she enjoys finding the hidden beauty within London and beyond. She lives and works in London, exploring different areas and always hoping to find a beautiful corner. Revell's work incorporates both nature and the impact of people into her images noticing when beauty comes out in unexpected ways.
Regents Canal is a peaceful and contemplative piece by Megan Revell. Revell specialises in 'high dynamic range' photography. This means a series is taken of the same image, each exposed at different lights. When the images are then collated, the result is a photo with a high tonal range, usually invisible to the naked eye. Acrylic glass prints with sturdy backing to avoid any transparency. Very high quality UV printing which exemplifies the colours and gives great optical depth to the image. Stunning gloss finish.
