Arper is an Italian company which was founded in the late eighties to create products that amalgamate functionality and aesthetics with safety, technology, ergonomics and comfort. They produce innovative and responsive products for the home and public spaces .James Irvine (1958 – 2013) was a London-born designer who moved to Milan to continue working in 1984. He obtained his Bachelor's degree from the Kingston Polytechnic Design school and his Master's from the Royal College of Art. After Irvine’s premature death in 2013, Studio Irvine found natural continuity with Marialaura Rossiello Irvine (partner at James Irvine Srl since 2009) and Maddalena Casadei (Irvine's right arm for nine years).
