Meet The Maker

Designer Jake Phipps began his career as a cabinetmaker after graduating from John Makepeace’s furniture design school. In 2005 Phipps set up his own design studio in London where he was able to create one-off statement pieces. Each piece Jake creates has a narrative yet functional aesthetic, which is full of character and charm. His clients include Tommy Hilfiger, Harvey Nichols, Selfridge and Google to name a few.

The extraordinary Stellar Console by Jake Phipps takes inspiration from the natural attributes of amethyst geodes and is a limited edition piece of just 25. The console will definitely be the focal point of any room with its expansive surfaces and turbulent seam of 900 individually sized and angled mirrored sections running through it. The striking mirrored design of this piece creates an optical dispersion that breaks down the light and the surrounding environment, delivering it to the eye as one sparkling entity.
