The Volute has a sleek, black lacquered body with gold plated detail and a modern glass top. The design is inspired by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright, who built the Guggenheim Museum in New York. The museum is outstanding from outside-in as the spiral design on the interior takes visitors on a languid downward slope to view the art. The glass and gold leaf adorn the table top of the Volute, its black lacquered base spirals towards the ground just like this building.
